No matter what happens, always remember to learn. Sometimes things don’t go as you would expect them to, but you can’t let this stop you. Sure you might not have made the progress you would like to make, but so long as you keep learning, you’ll be able to keep moving and pushing toward the progress you seek.

Learning should be one of our constants. It should always be found in the details. When you are learning, you are preparing your mind to change who you are into who you truly want to be.

The quest to learn is challenging. Many people stop learning because they don’t allow their mind to constantly question things, consider things, think about things, and observe things.

The world of academia would have us to believe that smarts come from the opinions and views of men who have gone before us. The experts, the geniuses, and the teachers. When truth be told we can learn independently.

Be an independent learner. Take matters into your own hands, by using your own mind. Learn from everything. Always be thinking.

When you want to progress you have to learn.
You can’t expect things to take off and to see progress the way you want to you. It will never look exactly the way you thought it would look, and it will never come as quickly as you would like. The one guarantee in your journey is the opportunities you need to learn.

Put one paw in front of the other, keep moving, and don’t forget to look around, sniff the ground and keep thinking.

Who did it? How can You Do it Too?!

To get ahead we have to use our head.

We have to observe, learn, then apply.

We need to look for those who have gone before us. Those who have done things we want to do. We have ask ourselves; “who’s done it?” Or; “Who does it?”

You will never get to where you want to be on your own. Your effort and commitment is required, but the very reason you’re not there already is because you don’t know what they know. You lack experience, understanding, and knowledge. You have potential, you just lack the power. Remember “KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!”

We all need a mentor, but in such a worthy quest we need to remember to look for those who have done what we want to do. It’s easy to look to those who have been and are “successful,” as those who made the money, drive the cars, have the house, wear the clothes, or in other words have the look. Truth be told you’ll never be successful until you are doing what you want to do. If you’re a billionaire, yet you don’t enjoy the person you are and the life you live then you failed. You gotta face these facts.

So read books, watch videos, and study. You wont find the motivation, the example, or the how to if we don’t actively look for it. If you want to be good salesman find those who are great salesmen. If you want to write books look for those who have written books. etc. I especially look for those who are doing more than one thing that I would like to do.

So take the time, invest the time, “Find the Who, then Do!”

Once you find the who you gotta discover what it is you need to do to do what they do, but do it with you. Never hide your personality. Use and share your personality in everything you do. Be true to you, yet observe and follow the who.

Make sense? What do you think?
Do you see how these efforts can help you get to the next level?

The Power of Clarity: Finding Your Vision

The daily struggle to defy our past, to ignore the temptation to be average, and do what we need to do to move us forward is real.

It’s not easy. It never will be. Pushing yourself to be better than you have ever been, and achieve far more than you have ever achieved is push you farther and harder than you will ever be pushed.

What I have come to realize from my struggles, is that you have to turn inward to find the power and strength you need to move forward. It is easy for us to listen to all the external voices and allow them to direct our thoughts. We can always benefit from constructive criticism, and brainstorming buddies, but at the end of the day we need to make the discovery.

To find our power, our motivation, and potential, we must get clear about what we want in life. We have to find clarity. When we know what we want, and what we really want, we suddenly discover what truly matters to us.

You have to know what you want.
Not what they want from you, or expect from you. Not what is easy, or within reach. Not what is simple and conceivable. What you want to do, who you want to help, how you want to impact the world, how you want to live your life. What you want to wear, drive, eat, and where you live.

What excites you?!

What do you dream about?!

What have you always wanted to do?

How have you wanted to help others?

How do you want to known?

What do you want you legacy to be.

How do you want to feel?

Start asking yourself the questions. Start thinking for yourself. Get clear about what you want, then you will discover your vision.

Once you are clear, and have a vision of where you want to be, and who you want to be you will be empowered and awakened.

Get clear, and you will be empowered.

Once you see a vision that you love, you’ll be committed. Sure commitments can be hard to keep, but when you are clear on what you want you it’ll be far easier.

If you ever feel discouraged, and void of direction then you are not clear on what you want and where you are headed. When you are freaking out and smashing your head against the wall, into your keyboard, and against your steering wheel, stop! It’s not the outside that matters, it’s the inside. Get in your head, rummage around and ask the questions. Then confront and promote yourself.

You have what it takes, you just have to get clear, and discover it. This might not be a 5min solution, this might take some time, but boy is it worth it.

Invest in yourself and take the time.

Here’s a Porsche gif for fun:

Something we can never forget is the reality of the struggle ahead of us.

When we decide to create the life we have always wanted, we have to be willing to sacrifice. You and I will need to be willing to make sacrifices in order to successfully reach for our goals.

The life we have been living is simply not enough to get us to where we would like to be so we have to either accept defeat, or start making changes.

Perhaps our greatest sacrifices will be the abandonment of the average. We have to determine what we simply don’t need to do, and work on put it all behind us.

All the while remember that the sacrifices and changes we make are not to make our life difficult, but rather more rewarding. We also have to see that our fulfillment wont just come from reaching our goals, but will come as we become who we truly want to be.

All our goals whether we are conscience of it or not are about refining who we are so we can be happy with the person staring back at us in the mirror.

My biggest struggle when it comes to changing and sacrificing in order to accomplish and become more, is my ability to see my short comings so very clearly.

For instance, last night I totally forgot to set my alarm. As a result I slept in several more hours than I planned, and started my work day far later than I would have liked to. It’s easy for you and me to get frustrated when we make mistakes like these, or when we feel we just aren’t measuring up to where we should be.

What I think we have to keep in mind is that our momentum means more then our struggles. Essentially, so long as we don’t give up, and we keep working on our goals, and keep pushing ourselves regardless of our struggles then we can maintain our momentum and keep making progress.

On a side note, if you’re like me and have a big vision of where you would like to be that excites you. Then sometimes it can be easy to get all wrapped up in the “it’s all about me mentality.” This isn’t healthy. I struggle with it, so I’m not about to start pointing fingers at people, but I’ve realized if I make an effort to change this mentality I’ll have a healthier prospective. This can be seen as a sacrifice, to stop and help someone, provide a simple act of kindness etc. But the effort is well worth it. When you help someone else you help ground yourself to what matters most. The way you live your life, and the person you are becoming.

Our and just for fun, here’s a sports car gif:

Always remember to take things one paw at a time. Don’t give up on your dreams. Keep working, keep moving. Get in and start that engine. Your potential is waiting to be unlocked. I’m sure it’ll give you the ride of your life.

Smug Grin?

Do you wear a smug grin when you think of the success you will yet realize?

If your vision of achievement and accomplishment truly excites you then it should excite you to the point that smug grind can fill your face as you contemplate it.

When I am not excited about my vision and achieving my goals, I find that I don’t see how what I am doing today is moving me toward where I want to be tomorrow.

To feel the best I have to push myself to do more, achieve more, and feel more. Sometimes this even means more stress so long as it moves me to action, and helps create goal chasing momentum.

Maintaining momentum can be challenging. There is no denying it.
We can combat this frustration when we take action,
and push ourselves
. No matter how hard it is.

You will feel more confidence knowing you are taking action toward your goals then you will when you get enough sleep, eat perfectly and don’t feel stressed. This is because you crave progress more than you crave anything else.

Do what you need to do.

Take action.

Feel the momentum.

Feel the possibilities.

Feel the reality that will be the future you have always dreamed of.

Feel optimistic and faithful. Wear that smug grin that says you have a plan, and you’re going to work it till it you gets you where you set out to go.

You could feel like this:

Let us remember to both see our vision, know our goals,
and chase and pursue them.

Don’t let up until you get there.

The journey is meant to transform you from average to exceptional, and help you become far better than you are today.

You can do it, don’t give up.

Remember to take things one paw at a time, but don’t be afraid to feel the pressure.
